The Commandments
Since the auspicious occasion of their first gig in March 1994, The Commandments have evolved into the West Midlands foremost exponents of Classic Soul and Motown music.
Over the years The Commandments have remained true to their principle goal to make full use of their talented 8 piece line up. Reproducing the classic sounds of the Soul and Motown era as they were originally performed.
Carl Waterhouse (Drums) and Mick O'Toole (Bass) provide the band with a reliable and solid foundation, complimented by Paul Morgan (Guitar) who works together with the back line to reinforce the driving rhythm of the band.
An uncompromising brass section featuring Rich Deakin (Tenor Sax) and Chris Gasson (Trumpet) enhance the sound in the true Sax tradition.
The superb backing vocals of Lindsey Adams and Kate Parish add depth and harmony to the magnificent lead vocals of front man Alan Batty.
Overall The Commandments make for an unforgettable experience.
